A statement issued by the state minister’s office says no individual is authorised to file cases, issue statements or take any action on his behalf without approval.

Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives State Minister Mir Shahe Alam has expressed concern over what he described as misinformation being circulated about him on social media and in sections of the media.
In a statement sent by his Press Secretary Md Atikur Rahman today (19 June), the state minister urged people not to file cases, issue statements or take any other initiatives in his name or on his behalf without authorisation.
The statement said any such actions do not have the approval or instruction of the state minister.
It also referred to a recent incident involving four individuals associated with the daily ‘Agrayatra Protidin’.
Expressing regret over the incident, the state minister said he hoped all parties concerned would reach a peaceful resolution through discussion and legal processes. He also expressed the expectation that the arrested journalist would be released soon.
The statement noted that the plaintiff in the case is also a journalist and an elected treasurer of the Bogura Press Club.
In this context, the state minister urged all concerned to act with restraint and responsibility to avoid any misunderstanding or tension between different groups within the journalist community.
The statement further said that Mir Shahe Alam has requested journalists to verify information about him independently and objectively before publishing reports.
