There are many who believe this decision was careful through through and mulled over before the world even heard something and now a royal insider has decided to break their silence.
According to a well placed royal source, the truth of the matter is that King Charles knew about the Sussexes’ plan but there wasn’t much of a buffer in between.
According to New Idea, “he was informed on August 16 that it was going ahead and Harry and Meghan were going to announce it three days later.” So “Charles wasn’t completely blindsided by this”.
Right now behind closed doors they say “he’s excited and expects the rest of the family, including William and Kate, to fall in line. They’ve hosted some of the most controversial figures in history; they can handle Harry and his wife.”
Even the Wales’ were reference by the same source and according to this report, “Kate and William are probably the ones most surprised by this, and apparently their teams have been in strategy talks all week.”
Before actually signing off it was also said, “they both have no choice but to hope for the best and plan for the worst, Thankfully this is on their turf and Kate has built up an incredibly loyal circle.”
