Rain predicted in parts of the country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (19 September) forecasted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9am. 

“Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram & Barishal divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, & Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The highest temperature on yesterday (18 September) was recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius in Ramgati, while today’s minimum temperature was 23.8 degrees Celsius in Tetulia. 

In the last 24 hours, till 06am today, the highest 27 millimetre rainfall occurred in Kutubdia.

The sun sets at 5:58pm today and rises at 5:47am tomorrow in Dhaka.
