The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (30 May) forecasts rain in different parts of the country during the next 24 hours beginning from 9am.
According to a Met Office bulletin issued this morning, light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind and lightning flashes are likely to occur at a few places over the Chattogram division and at one or two places over the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Sylhet divisions, with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the Chattogram division.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country, the bulletin added.
The highest temperature yesterday was recorded at 36.6 degrees Celsius in Koyra of the Khulna division, while the minimum temperature recorded today was 21.5 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi.
