Priscilla Presley is opening up about the heartbreaking effect that occurred after the death of her and late ex-husband Elvis Presley’s only daughter, Lisa Marie.
The 80-year-old mother poured her heart out on how her family broke apart after she lost her daughter during her recent appearance at a speaking event which she attended with her son Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, whom she welcomed with ex husband Marco Garibaldi.
In a video obtained by Daily Mail, the actress said, “It’s kind of separated us in a way.”
Priscilla recalled when Lisa was alive how they used to “get together and have meals.”
For those unversed, Lisa, who was briefly married to Michael Jackson, passed away due to a small bowel obstruction in January 2023. She was 54.
During the event, Priscilla’s son Navarone revealed that their family first began to break apart after the death of Lisa’s son, Benjamin.
It “was the first thing that separated us,” Priscilla’s son admitted.
He explained, “When you would think that would be something that should bring everybody together, that somehow separated us further, because everybody grieves in different ways, and everybody felt, you know, put blame on somebody in different ways, and just felt different ways about it.”
As Lisa is survived by her daughters Harper and Finley Lockwood, 18, as well as 36-year-old daughter Riley Keough, the proud grandmother revealed that Lisa’s girls are now adults and live an independent life.
”They have their boyfriends and, you know, do their thing,” Priscilla shared.
It is pertinent to mention that Lisa welcomed Riley and Benjamin with her first husband, Danny Keough while she shares her twin daughters with her fourth husband, Michael Lockwood.
