Prince William and Kate Middleton will visit the Isle of Bute on Thursday 17th September, the palace has announced.
The Majesty Magazine took to X, formerly Twitter handle and shared the palace announcement regarding the visit of William and Kate, who use the title Duke and Duchess of Rothesay when they are in Scotland.
The magazine tweeted, “NEW: The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay will visit the Isle of Bute on Thursday 17th September ‘to highlight the power of community, connection and volunteering, and to celebrate the generosity and dedication of people who give their time to support and care for fellow islanders’.”
This will be the first official visit by the Prince and Princess to the island.
The day will include visiting their namesake town of Rothesay and follows their visits to the Isles of Mull & lona last year.
As per the Imperial Material, during their visit, Kate and William will undertake a series of engagements to spend time with members of the local community, including visiting the community-owned Anchor Tavern Pub, and hear how important small, everyday interactions are in building resilient and connected communities.
The future king and queen will also meet those working to protect the natural environment on Bute, an issue which is ‘close to both of Their Royal Highnesses’ hearts.’
