Several areas in Sylhet city will face electricity outages on Saturday (18 April) due to transformer repair and maintenance, transmission line development, and tree pruning work, according to the Power Development Board.
Abdur Razzak, Executive Engineer of Sales and Distribution Division-2 of the Sylhet Power Development Board, shared the information in a press release on Thursday (16 April).
According to the statement, power supply will remain suspended from 9 am to 5 pm in areas under the 11 kV feeders of Power Development and Distribution Division-2, including Chalibandar, Kastghar, Sobanighat, Bishwa Road, Jail Road, Bandar Road, and adjacent areas.
On the same day, electricity will also remain cut from 9 am to 5 pm in several other areas under the same 11 kV feeder network, including Amjad Ali Road, Kalighat, Chararpar, Masimpur, Mahajanpatri, Hakar’s Market, Laldighirpar, Dak Bangla Road, Burhan Uddin Mazar, Shaplabagh, Kushighat, Mendibag, Mirapara, Nowagaon, Sadatikor, Mirror Chowk, Muktirchowk Muradpur, Tooltikor, Pir Chowk, and surrounding localities.
