Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will attend an iftar event organised by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in the capital Saturady (28 February).
The iftar programme will be held at the Bangladesh China Friendship International Conference Center, according to the BNP Media Cell.
As per the prime minister’s scheduled programme, he will first attend a views-exchange meeting with officials and heads of departments at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon at 10am. He will later join the Jamaat-organised iftar in the afternoon.
Earlier on 25 February, Jamaat’s Secretary General Mia Golam Porwar and Assistant Secretary General Abdul Halim met the prime minister at the Secretariat and formally handed over the invitation letter for the iftar event.
