A total of 14,384 candidates finally selected under the “Government Primary School Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2025” will join their respective district primary education offices on 1 October.
The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education announced the date in a notice issued by its School-2 Section today (2 August).
According to the notice, appointment letters will be sent to the selected candidates in due course against vacant posts at government primary schools.
They will be posted following their joining and subsequently sent for the necessary professional training.
The relevant offices, including district primary education offices, have been instructed to take the necessary steps.
Yesterday, Primary and Mass Education Secretary Md Sakhawat Hossain said the ministry was working on a priority basis to complete the appointment process for the recommended candidates.
Speaking after an emergency virtual meeting on teacher recruitment yesterday, he said the process had been delayed due to investigations and lengthy procedures.
He had also said administrative measures were underway to expedite the recruitment process.
