A 27-year-old man has been taken into custody on suspicion of burglary at billionaire Kim Kardashian’s home.
For those unversed, officers from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station were summoned to the reality star’s residence in the Hidden Hills area of California on Sunday, August 9, after security guards allegedly spotted a man loading items into a white Lexus outside the house.
Police arrested the man, identified as Trey Mendel, on suspicion of burglary.
“Upon arrival, deputies located a white male adult – Trey Mendel – and placed him under arrest for burglary and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent,” the sheriff’s station explained in a statement shared with Fox News.
“The suspect was transported and booked at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station on the aforementioned charges. The suspect remains in custody,” the statement continued.
As per the sheriff’s station, “the investigation is ongoing and will be forwarded to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.”
As per the latest reports, Kim and her kids were not at home at the time of the incident.
The SKIMS founder purchased a $20 million mansion in Hidden Hills in 2014.
