New officers-in-charge (OCs) have been appointed to Gulshan and Banani police stations, while a new deputy commissioner (DC) has been posted to Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Uttara division.
The appointments were made through two separate office orders signed by DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed today (23 September).
According to one order, Inspector Md Salahuddin of the DMP’s Lines and Operations division has been transferred to Banani Police Station as its OC. Inspector Abuzayed Md Najmun Nur, also from the Lines and Operations division, has been appointed OC of Gulshan Police Station.
The current Banani OC, Mohammad Faridul Islam, has been transferred to the Motijheel division of the Detective Branch (DB).
In a separate order, Rezaul Karim, DC of the DB’s Ramna division, has been transferred to the Uttara division as its DC.
Mirza Tareq Ahmed Baig, who had been serving as acting DC of the Uttara division, has been transferred to the DB’s Ramna division as its DC.
The order also transferred Zahed Parvez Chowdhury, DC of the DMP’s City Special Action Group, to the City Research and Development division.
