Mike Tyson has revealed he sent President Donald Trump a letter in support of Sean “Diddy” Combs.
In a recent interview on SiriusXM show Radio Andy, Tyson shared that the incarcerated hip hop mogul had asked him to talk to the President on his behalf.
“I’m friendly with Puff,” he admitted. “I was surprised that they went through so many lengths to get him. They used a 110-year-old rule to get him. Can you imagine that?”
Tyson, also nicknamed as Iron Mike, was also asked if the two had been in touch since Combs has been in jail, at which point he confided that Combs had asked him to pass a letter along to President Trump.
“Well, I spoke with him once on the phone,” Tyson answered. “He wanted me to give a letter to the president.” Presenter Andy Cohen then asked, “And did you give a letter to the President from him?” To which the professional boxer, replied, “I did what he told me to do, yes.”
Earlier this year, Trump told The New York Times that the former music boss had asked for a pardon via a handwritten letter, but later told Newsmax that it may be “difficult” to pardon him because Combs criticised him while he was running for office back in 2016.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence on prostitution-related charges. He is set to be released in March 2028.
