Metro rail services on the Uttara-Motijheel route were briefly disrupted today (6 October) after a stray dog entered the track area at Karwan Bazar, according to media reports.
A train travelling towards Motijheel was reportedly halted at around 11:52am as a safety precaution, with the disruption lasting several minutes while the animal was removed from the track.
TBS’s correspondent, who was travelling from Mirpur-11 to Shahbagh at the time, said her train stopped at Farmgate station after an announcement that services would be delayed for a few minutes.
The train remained at the station for roughly 10 minutes before resuming its journey, she said.
According to media reports, fire service personnel were called in to remove the dog from the track and move it to a safe location.
Metro rail services subsequently resumed, and normal train movement continued on the route.
