Meghan Markle is officially settled in the UK, surrounded by her husband and children—who are already settled in British schools as of September of this year.
But when it comes to her British chapter, reports are shrouded in mystery. Some suspect her plans involve public appearances, while others are busy wondering about the future of her brand As Ever.
What’s also pertinent to mention that the only sightings done since the move, which happened in August, is unofficial paparazzi snaps. The only member of the Sussex household to undertake engagements or come before the public eye is Prince Harry with his speech about AI governance, the Invictus Spirit Awards, and the WellChild awards.
According to PR expert Dermot McNamara while not much is yet known, the truth of the matter is that, “hiding away” will not be part of the picture, at least in his view.
The expert spoke to the New Magazine when delivering this verdict and admitted, “Meghan doesn’t necessarily have to set out to steal William and Catherine’s headlines for that to happen.”
After all, as evident from her Instagram account which boasts 4.9 million followers after only 111 posts, whereas the accounts of Prince William and Kate Middleton have been running for much longer and currently boast 17.4 million, with 3,608 posts.
He also says, “she generates headlines simply by appearing and existing, but I don’t think her game plan is, ‘How do I overshadow Kate?’ I think it’s much more likely to be, ‘How do I build this new British chapter without allowing everything I do to be dictated by what the royal family is doing?’.”
In his concluding words the expert added, “ultimately, Meghan doesn’t appear to be returning to Britain apologetically and she’s certainly not going to hide away.”
