One more child died from measles-like syndrome between 8am yesterday and 8am today (16 June), raising the total death toll linked to the outbreak to 657.
During the same period, 1,006 patients with measles-like symptoms were admitted to hospitals nationwide, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of these, 136 cases were laboratory-confirmed as measles.

DGHS data shows that between 15 March and 16 June, a total of 10,523 measles cases were confirmed through laboratory testing.
According to the latest health bulletin, 87,929 suspected measles cases have been identified nationwide. Of these 68,782 patients have already been discharged after receiving treatment.
