The health directorate recorded the deaths of four children with measles-like symptoms in the 24 hours preceding 8:00am today (19 July), raising the combined number of confirmed and suspected measles-related deaths to 788.
No confirmed measles deaths were reported during the period, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
So far, 95 people have died with confirmed measles infections and 693 with measles-like symptoms, the release added.
During the same period, 938 people showed measles-like symptoms, while 113 new laboratory-confirmed measles cases were recorded.
Overall, the country has reported 117,648 suspected measles cases, including 14,431 laboratory-confirmed infections.
Since 15 March, when authorities began issuing regular updates, the DGHS has recorded 100,137 hospital admissions with suspected measles.
Of them, 96,521 patients have recovered and returned home.
