A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death in Chattogram’s Chandgaon area yesterday (20 August) following a dispute over a mobile phone, police said.
The incident took place around 6pm in front of Layla Tower in the Char Rangamatiya area under Chandgaon Police Station.
The deceased, Mohammad Sakib, was the son of Md Nazum Uddin in the area.
According to police and locals, Sakib had an ongoing dispute with several people he knew over a mobile phone. An altercation broke out between them last evening (20 August), when one from the opposing group stabbed Sakib and fled.
Locals rescued Sakib and took him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
