Leah Barrs, who used to work as a nanny for Kourtney Kardashian, has set record straight on rumours that she was involved with Travis Barker.
Barrs worked for Kardashian and her ex, Scott Disick, taking care of their three children from 2019 to 2022.
Barrs, in an appearance on Harry Jowsey’s podcast Boyfriend Material, clearly denied the rumour of involvement with Barker, explaining that the rumour was actually about a different situation.
Years earlier, before Kardashian and Barker were even together, Barrs had a relationship with a single father she worked for as a nanny.
She said this happened when she first moved to Los Angeles at age 22. Barrs said she first shared this story with another nanny while filming her show Million Dollar Nannies. That nanny spread the story, and eventually the family found out and let her go from the job.
Barrs explained that she and the father were close friends, and one night, after finishing her shift, the two spent time together. She said the situation became much bigger than it actually was over time.
“I did him a favour one night, and he came back from his event,” she recalled. “The daughter was asleep. Technically, I’m clocked out. He is my friend. I’ve always thought he was hot. We hook up.”
Barrs added, “It’s just something that was so insignificant, like so long ago that just got blown out of proportion.”
Barrs admitted she was very upset when she lost the nanny job and acknowledged it was her own fault for sharing the story.
“I cried episodes one through eight,” she said, before acknowledging, “It was my own fault. I should’ve just closed my mouth.”
In another exchange, Barrs shared with The New York Post that she got the nanny job with Kardashian through a chance connection with a pastor in LA, and she said working with the family taught her a lot about herself, including how to be more professional and confident
“I learned a lot about myself—[Kourtney] really taught me to be a better worker,” she explained. “Networking, being the best version of myself.”
