Kim Kardashian has finally revealed why she hesitated to share her oesophagitis diagnosis with her fans.
The 46-year-old reality star opened up about her health woes during the latest episode of The Kardashians.
Kim revealed that she kept her health issues private due to her father’s death in 2003.
“I’ve seen a couple of doctors, and it’s been heavy on my mind lately,” the SKIMS founder said on the show. “I haven’t really told too many people about this just because I think it’s something that really hits home for me.”
“I just don’t really want to go there with my dad having passed away from oesophagus cancer,” she continued.
The mother-of-four added, “Hopefully I can just take medication, and this will go away. But I just don’t know what’s gonna happen.”
For those unaware, Kim’s father, Robert Kardashian, passed away in 2003, just months after being diagnosed with cancer.
A preview of the next episode suggests that the businesswoman might need to undergo surgery.
The diagnosis comes exactly a year after Kim revealed doctors had discovered a small aneurysm in her brain.
“It’s just a good measure to go make sure that you always check everything,” she said at that time. “And health is wealth, and you have to be careful with everything that you do.”
