Jim Curtis has spilled some insights into his and Jennifer Aniston’s early days of romance and how it all started.
The wellness coach revealed that he and the Friends alum’s relationship was platonic in the beginning for several months.
“There was a many-month friendship first,” the hypnotist told the Sunday Times Magazine in an interview published Saturday.
And things unfolded between the couple naturally without any pressure, Jim added, “The drive was more natural, more organic, less needy.”
Reflecting on his past idea of love, he noted, “In the past I’ve felt this idea of, ‘I need you to be in love with me.”
Now, before meeting Jenifer, Jim admitted, “I wasn’t searching for love anymore.”
It is pertinent to mention that Jim and Jennifer began dating in the summer of 2025 after they met via mutual friends.
In a recent chat with People for the promotion of his new book, Jim also shed light on his and Aniston’s relationship, revealing that he found the actress after he finally embraced his health struggles following years of resentment.
For those unaware, Curtis was diagnosed with lesions in his spinal cord leading to severe nerve damage and partial paralysis in his 20s, due to which he remained “angry for a long time.”
“When I got to the point of loving my body and loving myself, I found this amazing relationship,” Jim confessed. “A sense of self-love and acceptance is mirrored in your relationships.”
He added, “I just had this idea that at 50 years old, I would have a more substantial relationship, a serious relationship that would warm my heart.”
