Prime Minister’s Political Assistant Md Rashed Khan today (22 October) said Jamaat-e-Islami and the ousted Awami League (AL) have started hatching conspiracies against the incumbent BNP government.
“AL and Jamaat together are attempting to create anarchy in the country as they did in 1996,” he said.
Rashed made the remarks while responding to questions from journalists after inaugurating a free medical camp at Chaprail Abu Bakar Biswas Moksed Ali College in Kaliganj upazila here this afternoon.
Criticising the opposition, the prime minister’s political assistant said Jamaat had formed alliances with the Awami League in 1996 and 1986.
“Now they have joined the hands again. Jamaat and the Awami League have started a fresh conspiracy against the BNP government,” he said.
Rashed said leaders and activists of the BNP, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and Jubo Dal are prepared, together with the people, to resist the alleged conspiracy by Jamaat and the Awami League.
Former Senior Joint Convener of Kaliganj Upazila BNP Hamidul Islam Hamid, Joint Member Secretary Elias Rahman Mithu, college Principal Mashiur Rahman and people from different professions and sections of society were present at the programme.
