Harrison Ford has no plans of slowing down at the age of 84 as he is looking forward to more projects in the future.
The Oscar nominee announced on Sunday that he is gearing up to take the role of Indiana Jones in the forthcoming attraction “Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent” at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom.
A prerecorded video played at the Disney fan event, in which Ford said, “Hello, D23. Thanks for coming along on all of Indy’s adventures.”
He continued, “Soon it’ll be time for his next ride, and I’m pleased to share that, for the first time ever, I’m the actual model of the Indiana Jones animatronic — fear of snakes included.”
Ford further teased, “I’m excited for you to see his next epic adventure, and I’m coming to Walt Disney World soon.”
Fans expressed their excitement over Ford’s announcement on Disney Parks’ Instagram handle and filled the comment section with their love and support.
“Harrison, you’re the only Indiana Jones! Nobody but you can play our beloved archeologist,” a fan wrote.
Another gushed, “This makes me tear up knowing his legacy will forever be enshrined
While a third suggested Ford, writing, “harrison better have in his contract that only he can play the character of indiana jones.”

He last played his character in 2023’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
