The government will build a bridge over the Fuldi River in Munshiganj’s Gajaria upazila, Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said today (20 June).
“Inshallah, our government will build a bridge over this river. The minister concerned and the chief engineer have already visited this place,” Fakhrul said after visiting the bank of the Fuldi River at Rasulpur ferry ghat following the inauguration of a newly built market building at Bhaberchar Bazar and a road in the upazila.
The market building, equipped with modern facilities, was built at a cost of Tk2.35 crore under the Countrywide Rural Market Infrastructure Development Project (1st Revised), under the supervision of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED).
According to the office of the LGED Gajaria upazila engineer, the ground floor of the newly built multi-storey building will house a modern kitchen market, while the first floor will have grocery shops.
