Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, the prime minister’s political adviser and the ruling BNP’s senior joint secretary general, has said the government is working to improve people’s lives and ensure that no section of society is left behind.
Speaking at the 45th conference of the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh, in the capital today (10 May), Rizvi said the government remains committed to fulfilling the promises made to voters before the election.
He stated that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is working tirelessly to implement the BNP’s 31-point agenda and other pledges announced ahead of the polls.
According to Rizvi, initiatives such as agricultural loan waivers, Farmer’s Card, Family Card, and canal excavation projects are already being pursued as part of the government’s broader development agenda.
“The government came to power through the people’s votes after a long struggle and many challenges,” he said, adding that the administration is operating with accountability to the public.
Highlighting the role of diploma engineers in national development, Rizvi acknowledged their contribution to building the country’s infrastructure and assured them that their legitimate demands will receive due attention from the government.
Rizvi expressed optimism about the country’s future, saying Bangladesh has the potential to become more prosperous by making effective use of its natural resources, fertile land, rivers, and canals.
