The government has kept the retail prices of diesel, petrol, octane and kerosene unchanged for October.
The Energy and Mineral Resources Division said the existing prices will remain effective from today (1 October).
According to a notification issued yestery (30 September), diesel will continue to sell at Tk135 per litre, octane at Tk165, petrol at Tk160 and kerosene at Tk155.
The prices were last revised on 20 September, and the government has decided to retain the rates for October following approval from the relevant authorities.
The Energy and Mineral Resources Division took the decision following a recommendation from the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC).
The division informed BPC Chairman in a letter signed by Md Enamul Haque, senior assistant secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.
The latest decision means the fuel prices will remain unchanged for October under the government’s monthly fuel price adjustment mechanism.
