Police arrested Sajjatuz Jumma, former chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank, from a restaurant in Gulshan-2 in Dhaka this afternoon (16 October).
He was arrested around 4:30pm on 16 October on the basis of a court-issued arrest warrant, Gulshan Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abu Zayed Md Nazmun Nur confirmed.
The officer said Jumma had an arrest warrant against him and was detained accordingly.
