Bangladesh Ambassador to Kuwait Major General Syed Tareq Hussain visited five injured Bangladeshi nationals yesterday (3 June) after an attack in Kuwait left several people from different countries wounded, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Upon receiving news of the incident, the ambassador immediately went to see the injured Bangladeshis and requested the relevant Kuwaiti authorities to ensure their proper treatment and medical care.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait is maintaining close contact with the concerned authorities and is closely monitoring the condition of the injured nationals.
In a gesture of solidarity and humanitarian support, the ambassador, accompanied by embassy officials, donated blood to the Kuwait Central Blood Bank to support the treatment of all those injured in the attack, irrespective of nationality.
The ministry said the embassy will continue to provide necessary assistance and closely follow developments regarding the health and wellbeing of the injured Bangladeshis.
