Farida Khanam, a deputy secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as the first female Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Dhaka.
The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification in this regard today (22 April).
Meanwhile, the incumbent DC Md Rezaul Karim, has been withdrawn from his post and reassigned as a Deputy Secretary at the Cabinet Division.
