This year’s star-studded Emmy night aired on NBC, and it drew a strong audience.
A whopping 6.7 million viewers tuned in to see their drama stars. Yet that was lower than last year.
According to Variety, the decline is tied to the day the event was held.
Last year’s Emmy took place on Sunday on CBS, but this year’s was on Monday.
Then, there is an eyeball competition with the NFL, as the match between the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos took place on the same day.
However, despite a dip in traditional viewership, NBCUniversal says the Emmys raked in better numbers on social media.
Social media generated 133 million views, a 90% increase from 2025.
