The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) snapped a five-day losing streak today (15 September), with broad-based buying lifting all major indices and pushing the benchmark DSEX up 93 points.
The DSEX gained 1.74% to close at 5,472 after rising to nearly 5,500 during the session.
The Shariah-compliant DSES index advanced 16 points, or 1.55%, to 1,093, while the blue-chip DS30 index rose 24 points, or 1.21%, to finish at 2,087.
Trading activity also picked up, with daily turnover crossing the Tk500 crore mark to Tk504.87 crore.
Market breadth was overwhelmingly positive, with 336 issues advancing against just 21 declines, while 37 remained unchanged.
