A court has placed Dilip Kumar Agarwala, owner of Diamond World, on a four-day remand in a case filed with Uttara West Police Station over the alleged attempted murder of student Jabbar by shooting him during the July Uprising.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarah Farzana Haque passed the order after a hearing this afternoon (21 October).
State prosecutor Muhammad Shamsuddoha Sumon confirmed the matter, saying Dilip would be produced before the court after completing a one-day remand in a money laundering case filed under the Money Laundering Prevention Act with Gulshan Police Station.
The court then ordered that he be shown arrested in the July attempted murder case and placed on a four-day remand, he said.
