Sub-registrars serving at sub-registry offices across Dhaka district will be transferred through a lottery on 6 October as part of a government initiative to make the process more transparent.
The lottery will be held at 10am in the conference room of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, according to a ministry press release issued today (4 October).
The initiative follows a decision by Law Minister Md Asaduzzaman, who will attend the lottery.
Under the process, sub-registrars currently serving at sub-registry offices in different districts will be selected through the lottery to fill designated posts at offices across Dhaka district.
The ministry said the system was intended to reduce discretion in transfers and strengthen administrative discipline at sub-registry offices.
It also aims to make property registration services more accessible, orderly and free from harassment for members of the public, according to the release.
The ministry described the initiative as part of broader administrative reforms aimed at improving services at sub-registry offices.
