Patrick Muldoon’s official cause of death has been laid bare.
According to official death records obtained by People magazine, the Days of Our Lives actor died of a myocardial infarction – commonly referred to as a heart attack.
Underlying causes included hereditary coagulopathy, which affects blood clotting, and pulmonary embolism, defined as “a sudden blockage in a lung artery.”
For those unversed, Patrick breathed his last on April 19 at the age of 57.
The actor appeared in several films throughout his decades-long career in the entertainment industry.
However, Patrick rose to fame after starring in the TV drama, Days of Our Lives, as Austin Reed.
The Hollywood star was remembered as “stylish, charismatic and full of life” and someone who “embraced each day with a full-tilt, rock ’n’ roll spirit.”
The Melrose Place star also “loved animals and people alike, gave unforgettable hugs, and possessed a rare quality of making others feel safe and seen.”
His latest film, Dirty Hands, is set to be released later this year, as per Variety.
Patrick also served as executive producer on several projects, including The Card Counter, Marlowe, Arkansas, and The Dreadful.
