Two crude bombs exploded in separate incidents near Agargaon Metro Station and in Sobhanbagh of the capital tonight (2 November), though no casualties were reported.
The first explosion occurred around 8:30pm beneath a footbridge in front of Dhanmondi Government Boys’ High School in Sobhanbagh. The second incident took place around 9:15pm beneath Agargaon Metro Station.
Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Monirul Islam confirmed the incidents to The Business Standard.
“We are investigating who was behind the incidents. However, no one was injured,” he said.
The OC said the Agargaon Metro Station area falls under Kafrul Police Station and police there would investigate the incident.
TBS tried to contact Kafrul Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saiful Islam several times for comment, but he did not answer the calls.
