The “National Android Development Bootcamp (NADB) 2026 Roadshow” was held with great enthusiasm at Chittagong Independent University (CIU) auditorium yesterday (23 April).
The program was organised by the CIU Programming Club, in collaboration with BDApps– the national app store and digital platform initiated by Robi Axiata PLC.
More than a hundred students participated in the event. The primary objective of the event was to provide students with practical insights into Android app development, app publishing, and the country’s growing mobile app ecosystem.
During the session, the BDApps team engaged directly with students, discussing the real-world challenges of app development, the steps to publish apps on the BDApps platform, career opportunities, and app monetisation strategies.
Abdur Rashid Shohag, president of the Startup Association of Bangladesh, delivered an inspirational speech focusing on the country’s startup ecosystem, the importance of innovation, and the potential for youth to become successful entrepreneurs.
Key representatives from the BDApps National Appstore project under Miyaki, including Muhammad Altamish Nabil, Shahed Sad Ullah, Mohammad Arif Hasan, Mir Riaz Uddin, and Mahir Asef, played a vital role in the successful execution of the program.
Other notable speakers included Professor Dr Asif Iqbal, dean of the School of Science and Engineering and Habibur Rahman, faculty advisor of the CIU Programming Club. The speakers emphasised the importance of industry engagement and the acquisition of practical skills.
The organisers expressed their hope that such initiatives would significantly contribute to the technological skill development of students and open new possibilities in the country’s app development sector.
