A Criminal Investigation Department (CID) inspector was killed after being crushed under the wheels of a truck in Khulna city last night (5 October).
The deceased was identified as Md Fazlur Rahman, 47, son of Abu Taleb Khan of Barandi Fakirhat area under Abhaynagar upazila in Jashore district.
The accident occurred around 8:30pm at Garrison intersection under Khanjahan Ali Police Station in the city.
Babul Akter, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Khanjahan Ali Police Station, said police rushed to the scene after receiving the report. Legal procedures regarding the accident are currently underway.
