Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations under the Chattogram Education Board have been suspended until 16 July due to the ongoing flood situation.
Prime Minister’s Education Adviser Mahdi Amin announced the suspension today (11 July) at a press briefing.
He said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is monitoring the flood situation round the clock and the government has attached the highest priority to responding to the natural disaster.
According to Mahdi Amin, the prime minister has instructed officials to remain beside affected communities after holding meetings with local administrations in flood-hit areas.
He said all ministries are playing important roles in implementing the prime minister’s directives to tackle the disaster.
The adviser also called on leaders and activists of political parties to participate in relief operations.
Yesterday, the Chattogram Education Board suspended today’s HSC and equivalent examinations because of adverse weather and flooding.
The Chattogram Education Board oversees public examinations in Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachhari districts.
