State-owned Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) has recommended a 25% cash dividend for the fiscal year 2025-26, equivalent to Tk2.50 per share against a face value of Tk10.
According to a price-sensitive disclosure issued by the corporation today (8 November), the dividend will be paid to shareholders from its FY26 earnings.
The record date for determining shareholder eligibility has been set for 15 December. The date and venue of the corporation’s annual general meeting (AGM) will be announced later.
BSC reported earnings per share (EPS) of Tk19.11 for FY26, down from Tk20.10 in the previous fiscal year.
The corporation attributed the decline in annual revenue and earnings to one-off capital gains recorded in FY25 from the sale of two vessels, MT Banglar Jyoti and MT Banglar Sourabh.
Despite the decline in EPS, the corporation recorded improvements in its net asset value and operating cash flow.
Net asset value (NAV) per share rose to Tk121.45 as of 30 June 2026, compared with Tk104.84 a year earlier.
Net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) more than doubled to Tk25.40 in FY26 from Tk11.96 in FY25, supported by higher cash collections from operating activities.
In a separate disclosure, BSC reported improved financial performance in the first quarter of FY27, covering July to September 2026.
Its EPS rose to Tk5.88 during the quarter, compared with Tk5.14 in the same period a year earlier. NOC FPS also increased to Tk8.28 from Tk7.94.
The corporation attributed the quarterly earnings growth to higher operating income generated by new vessels added to its fleet during FY26.
BSC’s NAV per share stood at Tk127.36 as of 30 September 2026.
