Britain’s Got Talent was hit by chaos after an audience member was reportedly arrested during the first live semifinal.
The ITV talent show was broadcast live from the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, West London, where security staff were forced to intervene after a woman allegedly caused disruption inside the venue.
According to The Sun, the audience member was heard “screaming” before being removed from the theatre by security.
The report claims she was then restrained outside the building until police arrived, before being handcuffed and taken away in a police van.
Singer Alexandra Burke was also said to be outside the venue at the time for a photoshoot before her own appearance on the programme.
However, the outlet reported that she was quickly escorted inside for her safety.
The incident came less than 24 hours after ITV’s live I’m A Celebrity South Africa final, which also descended into chaos as Gemma Collins and Sinitta walked off stage during an on air row involving Adam Thomas, Jimmy Bullard and David Haye.
According to The Mirror, Saturday’s Britain’s Got Talent show also produced another awkward live television moment when judge Simon Cowell clashed with Declan Donnelly during feedback for magician Fraser Penman.
As the panel continued discussing the act, Dec attempted to move the programme along and was heard saying, “Thank you judges, thank you very much.” Simon then sharply replied, “I’m still talking!”
