The reserved women’s seat, designated Seat No 23, was declared vacant on the day of her resignation.
The by-election will be held on 12 November. According to the Election Commission’s schedule, the deadline for submitting nomination papers is 26 October, scrutiny will take place on 27 October, and the final date for withdrawal of candidatures is 1 November.
As the seat is allocated to the BNP, the party will nominate its candidate for the by-election.
