Police recovered a blood-soaked body of a man from the roadside in Moyna Union of Boalmari upazila in Faridpur.
Two people were detained on suspicion of being involved with the incident.
The deceased has been identified as Rubel Molla, son of Sarwar Molla of Sigrail village under Mohammadpur upazila in Magura district.
The body has been taken to Boalmari Police Station.
The recovery was made around 9pm yesterday (5 May).
Further legal procedures are underway, said Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Md Azam Khan of Madhukhali Circle.
Locals said that earlier in the night a car crashed at a place called Bottola in Hatkholarchar village under Moyna Union of Boalmari upazila and fell into a ditch.
Locals noticed a body inside the vehicle while trying to rescue the people inside.
On finding the situation suspicious, they detained two individuals from inside the vehicle and later handed them over to the police.
As the body bore visible injury marks, eyewitnesses suspect that it may have been an attempted disposal of the body for concealment.
