The body of late bdnews24.com Editor-in-Chief Toufique Imrose Khalidi will arrive in Bangladesh from the United Kingdom on Saturday (10 October), his family said, reports bdnews24.com.
His coffin will be sent to Bangladesh from London on Friday evening local time, with the flight expected to arrive in the country on Saturday morning, according to the family.
Before that, his body will be kept at the premises of Brick Lane Jamme Masjid in London from 10:30am to 1pm on Thursday for people to pay their respects. A janaza will be held there after the Zuhr prayers.
Khalidi worked at the BBC World Service in London from 2000 to 2005. Many of his former colleagues and members of the local Bangladeshi community are expected to attend his janaza at Brick Lane Jamme Masjid.

Khalidi, who was in London on a personal visit, suddenly fell ill on Thursday night. He was taken to St Bartholomew’s Hospital, where doctors said he had suffered a brain haemorrhage.
Doctors pronounced him dead at 2:23pm local time on Friday.
