Inflation in Bangladesh eased in FY26 but stayed high the past four years.
The 12-month average inflation fell to 8.68% in the just concluded FY26 from 10.03% in FY25, food inflation to 8.06% from 10.70%, and non-food inflation to 9.20% from 9.47%. Still, overall inflation has stayed above 8% for four consecutive years since FY23, easing this year but
remaining elevated.
