Apex Spinning and Knitting Mills resumed full factory operations yesterday (27 June) following a temporary shutdown caused by labour unrest.
In a disclosure filed with the Dhaka Stock Exchange today (28 June), the company said its board and management had decided to restart full-scale production effective from yesterday.
The factory had suspended operations following labour unrest, as announced by the company on 23 June.
According to the disclosure, the decision to resume operations came after constructive discussions with the relevant stakeholders, which helped restore normalcy at the factory.
“The situation has now normalised and a conducive working environment has been restored,” the company said, adding that normal production activities resumed yesterday.
