An application seeking to force Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to testify in a fraud trial has been submitted by the lawyers for former Goldman Sachs banker Selman Turk.
Janes Solicitors said Mr Justice Adam Johnson will rule shortly on the witness summons.
A provisional timetable lists Dec. 10 and 14 for his evidence, with Dec. 17 and 21 as alternatives.
Turk is being sued by Turkish millionaire Nebahat Evyap Isbilen, 81, who alleges he misappropriated about 40 million pounds of her wealth, which he denies.
The link to Mountbatten-Windsor centers on a 750,000-pound payment from Isbilen’s account to him and an alleged loan for a Swiss chalet.
The report comes a day after Reuters reported that King Charles provided £1.5 million to help settle repair costs on the mansion where his younger brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, lived before he was forced out over his ties with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Last year, Charles stripped Mountbatten-Windsor of his title of prince and told him to move out of his Windsor home, seeking to distance the royal family from the Epstein scandal.
Mountbatten-Windsor was later arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He has denied any wrongdoing.
Public outrage over Mountbatten-Windsor’s alleged behaviour has led to heightened scrutiny of his finances.
