All preparations have been completed for the main Eid-ul-Adha Jamaat at the National Eidgah Maidan in the capital under the management of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, along with Cabinet members, judges, senior government officials, and foreign diplomats, are expected to join the main congregation, DSCC Administrator Md Abdus Salam said at a briefing today.
He said comprehensive arrangements have been made to ensure a safe, smooth, and comfortable prayer environment with modern facilities and separate provisions for men and women worshippers.

Of them, 250 VIP male and 80 VIP female worshippers will have designated arrangements. Separate facilities have also been made for around 31,000 male and 3,500 female worshippers.
There will be four entry gates-one for VIPs, two for male worshippers, and one for women-while seven exit gates have been designated, including one for VIPs, five for men, and one for women.
A total of 121 rows have been allocated, including five VIP male rows, one VIP female row, 65 rows for men and 50 rows for women.
Around 140 worshippers can perform ablution at a time, with separate facilities for men (113) and women (27).
Facilities at the venue include air conditioning, fans, lighting, safe drinking water, carpets, and prayer mats for VIP rows. Separate entry and prayer arrangements for women have also been ensured.
Fire Service and Civil Defence teams will be on standby with fire safety support, along with first aid services, mobile toilets, drainage systems and rain protection measures.
Organisers said decorative gateways have been installed and all preparations are in place to ensure a secure, orderly and dignified Eid congregation.
