Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat, both in their late 30s, have starred in the upcoming film The Wrong Girls.
However, the pair were previously cast in the 2010s’ The Runaways.
But despite working in the rock biopic, Shawkat revealed they were not friends – contrary to what others believe.
Putting an end to the wrong impression, the actress, during the screening of the forthcoming film, said, “We were children” on the musical drama set.
Stewart, in response, agreed, joking to her co-star, “barely talked in that movie.”
But Shawkat has a hilarious reason for her ‘barely-talking’ attitude at the time.
She explained, “Yeah, I literally was not allowed to speak in that movie, because the character I was playing became an entertainment lawyer and was like, ‘I don’t want to be involved in the film.’”
The actress added, “And I found that out on my first day on set, after I’d learned all the songs.”
Shawkat said that a minor issue came up with a solution; she explained, “They were like, ‘You can’t speak for legal reasons.’”
The star continued, “And I was like, ‘OK, cool. So, just like holding a guitar in the background?’ They’re like, ‘Yeah, just stand to the left a little bit.’”
Meanwhile, The Wrong Girls are set to hit cinemas on Aug 14.
