Akij Motors, a concern of Akij Group, has appointed Eco-Nest Power as its distributor in Tangail to expand its business and bring products and services closer to customers in the district.
The organisations signed a distributor appointment agreement at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka today (8 November, 2026), according to the press release. The event formed part of Akij Motors’ broader initiative to strengthen its nationwide distribution network.
Sheikh Amin Uddin attended as chief guest alongside Sheikh Azman Uddin, director of Akij Motors, and Nazmun Nahar, chief administrative officer. Md Ruhul Amin, Gazi Monirul Islam, general manager of operations, and other senior officials were also present.
Md Kamruzzaman, proprietor of Eco-Nest Power, attended with prospective distributors from different regions, business representatives and members of the media.
The partnership will expand access to commercial vehicles, electric motorcycles, electric vehicles, batteries and the “Pothik” electric rickshaw, which the company describes as government-approved. The product range also includes smart lithium batteries, energy storage systems, vehicle servicing equipment and automobile components.
Akij Motors said the appointment would strengthen its regional presence and make its mobility products and related services more accessible to customers in Tangail.

Akij Motors said its distribution expansion would create opportunities for local entrepreneurs, generate employment and support the wider use of modern, environmentally friendly transport.
Speaking as special guest, Md Ruhul Amin of Akij Express said existing Akij Motors distributors would receive priority when future business opportunities with Akij Express were considered.
Akij Motors’ product and service portfolio includes commercial vehicles, electric motorcycles, electric vehicles, advanced battery technology, garage equipment and after-sales services. Under its “One-Stop Automobile Solution” concept, the company aims to provide customers with automobile products and services under one roof.
Sheikh Amin Uddin said the company’s priorities included building an environmentally friendly, fuel-efficient and technology-driven business, supplying quality products and providing reliable after-sales services. He also highlighted employment creation and contributions to national economic development as core objectives.
Presentations during the event covered Akij Motors’ achievements, growth prospects and future business opportunities. The programme also included agreement signings, the handover of commemorative cheques and a cake-cutting ceremony.
Akij Motors plans to gradually establish a distribution network across all 64 districts. The company said long-term relationships with distributors would help expand its market presence and improve customers’ access to technology, products and reliable services.
