Implementation of the government’s Annual Development Programme (ADP) stood at just 1.85% in the first two months of the current fiscal year, the lowest rate recorded so far in terms of spending.
The implementation rate was 2.39% during the same period of the 2025-26 fiscal year.
The figures were revealed in an updated report published by the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) today (21 September).
According to the IMED data, government agencies spent Tk5,709.70 crore from the ADP allocation during July-August of the current fiscal year.
In the same period of the previous fiscal year, spending stood at Tk5,714.83 crore.
The government has set a total ADP spending target of Tk3,08,924.86 crore for the current fiscal year, including funding from agencies’ own sources.
