The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) today (20 July) conducted a raid at the house of former National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (NTMC) director general and dismissed Major General Ziaul Ahsan in the Jalshiri Housing Project as part of an ongoing investigation.
The ACC said a team led by Deputy Director Md Hafizul Islam carried out the operation at the property in Rupganj, Narayanganj, this morning, ACC spokesperson Tanzir Ahmed told Prothom Alo.
Officials are preparing an inventory of the items found at the house.
On 7 January, Ziaul was shown arrested in a case filed over the acquisition of assets beyond his known sources of income following an ACC petition.
